Do I need a motorcycle licence?
Yes — at 100km/h and 15kW, the AP-15 Pro is classified as a motorcycle in South Africa. You'll need a motorcycle licence and proper registration. We can advise on the process.
What's the real-world range?
80-100km at mixed speeds. 120km is the max under ideal flat-road conditions at moderate speed. Like all EVs, range drops with speed and hills. Plan for 70-80km if you're cruising at 80-100km/h.
How fast does it charge?
4 hours from flat to full with the fast charger. That's a proper fast-charge system — most e-motos take 6-8 hours.
Can I service it locally?
Yes — Aptum is an SA brand with local technicians and parts supply. We handle routine service at our Blouberg workshop. For major work, Aptum's network covers the major centres.
What licence do I need?
A standard motorcycle licence. The AP-15 Pro is LAMS-equivalent in performance. Check with your local licensing office for exact requirements in your province.
Is there a warranty?
1 year factory warranty through Aptum South Africa. We handle warranty claims directly — no sending bikes back to China. Local support is the whole point of stocking an SA brand.

What is the warranty?
1 year standard factory warranty on all products. We have 2 technicians in Blouberg for repairs and maintenance, and stock all necessary spares.
Do you deliver nationwide?
Yes! Western Cape R200-400, rest of South Africa R300-700 depending on scooter size. Delivery takes 2-3 business days via RAM Courier.
Can I test ride before buying?
Absolutely! We have demo units at our gazebo on Blouberg beachfront. Just check in ahead to confirm we're set up.
What is the Current Price Special?
